How to Set Up Your Repeller
- Remove the protective cap from your standard camping gas canister.
- Screw the Thermacell Backpacker repeller securely onto the canister until hand-tight. Do not over-tighten.
- Slide one of the blue mosquito repellent mats under the grill at the top of the device.
- Turn the gas flow switch to the 'ON' position and wait 5-10 seconds for the gas to flow.
- Flick the integrated piezo ignition switch to ignite the burner. Check the viewing window to ensure it is glowing orange.
- Allow 10-15 minutes for the device to heat the mat and establish the 15ft protection zone.
- When finished, turn the switch to 'OFF' and allow the device to cool completely before packing.
